lyrics
The old land divided like food on a plate
At first the “discoverers”, merchants to follow
Selling treats from abroad, especially alcohol
Then came the missionaries – “turn the other cheek!”
“Turn the other cheek!” – nooo!
White ghosts brought war & genocide!
White ghosts brought war & genocide
Slavery by the whites - god’s will in their eyes
Preachers word preachers goal is to keep us calm.
Is to keep us calm!

If you know Kavrila you're aware of the fact that their music is as life-affirming as the prospect of attending a mass execution. Still, Mor hits different and cuts way deeper than all of the Rituals trilogy. Mor has singer Alex processing his mother's death and yes, this is exactly how it feels listening to this thing. Deeply uncomfortable and horrendous. To clarify: this really is a good album. But it's not one I see return myself to often because I can hardly bear it. Well done! David Fischer
I love Mantar. Theirs is one of the most impressive live performances I have ever seen: primitive, sweaty and more energetic than most coal power stations. Having such a beloved artist release a new album is always a bit scary, especially after three very strong offerings in a row. Still, Mantar remain untouchable and return with their most accessible (read: 'still kicking you in the balls until your teeth pop out') release so far. Odysseus might be their best song yet. The kings are back. David Fischer
